Utah Flash News Release

PROVO, Utah, Nov. 6, 2008 - Seven players, including returning forward Brian Jackson and guard Andre Ingram, will join 10 players selected by the Utah Flash in Friday's eighth annual NBA Development League Draft when training camp opens Nov. 16 at Pinnacle Security Gym in Orem.

Former Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year Mike Hall of BYU and one of Utah State's all-time assists leaders, Kris Clark, have been allocated to the Flash due to their local significance as collegiate players. Hall averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 60 games at BYU. He played the 2007-08 season in Austria, averaging 13.5 points and 2.7 rebounds for the Kapfenberg Bulls. Clark finished his Aggie career second on the all-time assists per game list at 5.29 per game.

Guard Chris Moore from Tulane, post player Steve Newman from Georgia and guard Ryan Diggs from Western Washington all earned a ticket to training camp through the Flash's free agent tryout in late September.

Jackson played in 47 games as the team captain for the Flash last season, averaging 9.6 points and 6.2 rebounds. The former Oregon State star is an NBA D-League veteran, averaging 11.2 points and 5.9 boards in 136 games. Ingram averaged 6.1 points while playing in 50 games in mostly a reserve role as a rookie from American University in 07-08.

"I am excited about these guys coming to camp and competing with the 10 players we will draft tomorrow," Flash head coach Brad Jones said. "I can't wait until we get them all in here and get started on the 16th. The start of camp can't come soon enough for me."

The Flash will hold its 2008 NBA D-League Draft Party at Pinnacle Security Gym beginning at 5 p.m. MT Friday. The first round of the draft will be televised live on NBA TV and rounds two through 10 will be audio streamed live on d-league.com. The public is invited to attend and observe how a professional basketball team is built, as well as enjoy free 5 Buck Pizza and drinks compliment of Pepsi. The Flash have the ninth selection in the first round of the serpentine formatted draft.

The Flash opens its season Nov. 28 by visiting the Austin Toros. The home opener is set for Dec. 1 when the Bakersfield Jam visits the McKay Events Center in Orem. Tickets can be purchased by calling 801-434-HOOP.
