SKYFORCE ANNOUNCES 2008-09 TRAINING CAMP INVITEES

Sioux Falls, S.D. (November 6, 2008) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today seven players that will bypass the 2008 NBA Development League Draft and be invited to training camp which is set to begin on Sunday, Sunday, Nov. 16. The training camp invitees include Chris Alexander, Chris Childress, Milone Clark, Carl Elliott, Michael Joiner, Bobby Jones and Frank Williams.

"We are excited about our roster and are looking forward to the start of training camp," said head coach Nate Tibbetts. "They are all eager to arrive in Sioux Falls and we expect a competitive camp."

The seven training camp invitees are a combination of returning players from last season, an allocation player and a local tryout invitee. Alexander, Clark, Elliott, Joiner and Jones are considered returning players since they appeared in at least one regular season or playoff game for the Skyforce last season. Williams qualifies as an allocation player since he played in Sioux Falls during the 2006-07 season and Childress was signed by the league following his impressive showing at the Minneapolis tryout.

The Skyforce will hold their 2008 NBA Development League Draft party at Pizza Ranch at 2717 W. 41st St. in Sioux Falls tomorrow night. The eighth-annual draft will air live on NBA TV and be streamed online beginning at 6 p.m. CT.

The home opener is on Friday, Nov. 28 against the Iowa Energy. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena. Single game tickets will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs are on sale for the 2008-09 season.
