Jacks, Brahmas to Meet in Opening Round

ODESSA, TX - As the final games of the Central Hockey League's 2010-11 regular season came to a close, the first round playoff opponent for the Odessa Jackalopes was determined. For the third straight year the Jackalopes will see the Texas Brahmas in a postseason series.
Texas finished the season as the fourth seed in the league's Berry Conference. Odessa was fifth. The Jackalopes run for the Ray Miron Presidents' Cup will begin on Friday in North Richland Hills, TX.
The Jacks and Brahmas will meet in an opening round, best-of-five series with the first two games being played at Texas. Games three and four (if necessary) will be at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa. If a deciding game five is needed, it will be played back at Texas.
In 2009, the Brahmas eliminated the Jackalopes in seven games during the Conference Final round of the playoffs on their way to capturing the Presidents' Cup. Last year, Odessa came back from a 0-2 deficit to eliminate the Brahmas in the Conference Semifinal round in six games.
