The Jackals then took the lead on a Shawn Weller goal at the 2:06 mark. Moises Gutierrez and Pierre-Luc Faubert got the assists on the play. After the Jackals took the 4-3 lead things would get feisty with six roughing penalties handed out, and two fighting majors, one for Grimaldi one for Coghlan. The Jackals finished the second period strong with Benoit Doucets' second of the game at the 19:11 mark. Pierre-Luc Faubert and Craig Switzer got the assists on the play.
