Philadelphia Reassigns Duchesne to Rays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/GM Jared Bednar announced today that goaltender Jeremy Duchesne has been reassigned by the Philadelphia Flyers from the Philadelphia Phantoms to the Stingrays.

Duchesne, recalled by Philadelphia on Jan. 26, has played 13 games with the Mississippi Sea Wolves this season going 3-7-2 with a 4.77 goals-against average and a .878 save percentage. Originally a 4th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Duchesne is in his second professional year after splitting time last year between the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the AHL.

Prior to turning pro, the Silver Spring, MD native played in a combined 142 games for the Victoriaville Tigres, Halifax Mooseheads, and Val d'Or Foreurs in the QMJHL while totaling 65 wins, 62 losses, three ties and nine shut-outs. In those five seasons he posted a 3.93 goals-against average and .904 save percentage.
