Elmira Jackals News Release
Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals will be making another community appearance at St. Joseph's Hospital this afternoon, their second visit to the hospital this season.
Jackals captain Trevor Burgess, defenseman John Donnelly and goaltenders Nick Boucher and Ryan McIntosh are scheduled to appear at the Cleft Palate Clinic of the hospital today, Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm. The players will be visiting the children at the Clinic, ranging in ages from 4-to-14 years old.
"We have and will continue to get out in the community during our non-game days," said Jackals Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Perry Florio. "Our player appearances are extremely important to the team and the organization. They provide us a means of not only giving back to the community but also as a way to thank our fans for their outstanding support of Jackals hockey."
The Jackals are also scheduled to visit the Elmira YWCA after school group on Thursday, February 9th at 3:15 pm and the players will be helping to run a charity hockey game on Sunday February 12th at the First Arena. More information about these events to follow later in the week.
Elmira begins a 6-game home stand all against Eastern Division teams this week. Their next home game is on Wednesday, February 8th as they host the first place Danbury Trashers at 7:05 pm at the First Arena.
