IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals play Game 1 of their first-round, best-of-five Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. at First Arena. The Jackals enter the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs as the eight seed in the Eastern Conference while the Road Warriors come in as the one seed.
THE TWO MEETINGS
Elmira went 1-1 against Greenville during regular-season play, splitting a pair of games in early March at the BI-LO Center. The Jackals dropped the first game, 5-3, snapping a four-game winning streak. Elmira bounced back by pulling off a 6-5 shocker the next day, getting late shorthanded goals on the same penalty from Justin Donati and Yannick Tifu for the victory.
