
Las Vegas' Ouzas Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J.- Michael Ouzas of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 28-April 2.
The 25 year old was 2-1-0 with a 2.02 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage in three appearances last week for the Wranglers.
Ouzas made 25 saves in a 5-2 win against Bakersfield on Tuesday and followed that up with 34 saves in a 2-1 victory at Stockton on Wednesday. He ended the week with 22 saves in a 3-2 loss to Stockton on Friday.
The Hamilton, ¬ËOntario native was 20-18-2 in 41 appearances for the Wranglers this season and finished the season ranked sixth in the ECHL with a 2.53 goals-against average. Ouzas was named ECHL ¬ËGoaltender of the Month in ¬ËNovember and was the starting goaltender for the ECHL ¬ËAll-Stars in the 2011 ECHL ¬ËAll-Star Classic.
Ouzas has appeared in 129 career ECHL ¬Ëgames with Fresno, ¬ËReading and Las Vegas going 57-59-7 with five shutouts, a 3.01 goals-against average and a save percentage of .905. He was named OHL Goaltender of the Year in 2004-05 while playing with the Owen Sound Attack going 24-11-9 with a goals-against average of 2.18 and a save percentage of .926. Ouzas also won the CIS National Title with the University of New Brunswick in 2007-08.
