
Stingrays Receive Trio from AHL

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that forward Brock McBride has been assigned to the team by the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League and forward David de Kastrozza and defenseman Dylan Yeo have returned to the team from the Hershey Bears of the AHL.
McBride, 24, appeared in 14 games with the Admirals netting a goal and an assist for two points. Acquired from Elmira of the ECHL on March 11, the Cornwall, ON native dressed in 27 games with the Jackals earlier this season scoring 32 points (9g, 23a). Last season, McBride played in 38 games with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL grabbing 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. McBride also skated in 22 total contests with the Sycracuse Crunch and Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL netting five points (1g, 4a).
de Kastrozza, 24, lit the lamp 15 times for the Stingrays this season and added 11 assists for 26 points in 40 games. In 24 contests with the Bears, the Toms River, NJ native recorded five points (1g, 4a). Last season, deKastrozza appeared in three regular season contests and four playoff games for the Stingrays scoring two assists. Prior to turning pro, he competed in 85 games for the University of Maine scoring nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points.
Yeo, 24, skated in 10 games with the Stingrays this season scoring two goals and two assists for four points. While with the Bears, the Prince Albert, SK native registered six points (1g, 5a) in 26 games. During the 2009-10 campaign, the 2009 ECHL Defenseman of the Year potted 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 49 games for the Stingrays and skated in five playoff contests tallying two points (1g, 1a).
