IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Elmira Jackals look to rebound after Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Reading Royals when the two teams meet again tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the Sovereign Center. Former Jackal Yannick Tifu scored with under a second remaining in the overtime period on Friday to give Reading the victory. The loss extended Elmira's winless skid to seven games, the longest since the club joined the ECHL in 2007.

ANOTHER OVERTIME BATTLE IN READING

The Jackals and the Royals have gone to overtime in each of the last four games between the two clubs at the Sovereign Center. Elmira prevailed in shootouts on Nov. 30 and Dec. 28 over Reading, while the Royals have won their last two games on home ice against the Jackals in sudden death. Tonight's game is the seventh of nine in Reading between the two teams in 2011-2012.

DIVISION RACE STAYS TIGHT

The Jackals enter tonight's game tied for first place in the Atlantic with the Wheeling Nailers at 56 points. Elmira and Wheeling lead Reading by eight points and Trenton by 19 points for division supremacy. The Jackals and the Nailers will meet this Tuesday at First Arena when Elmira returns home from its three-game road trip.
