The New Jersey Jackals broke out to a four-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off the New York Boulders for a 4-3 win on Sunday in the rubber game of the three-game weekend series between the teams at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls, NJ.
Nico Toni and Santiago Chirino each knocked in two runs for the Jackals, while Ronald Herrera allowed three runs on five hits over seven innings of work on the mound.
Herrera walked one and struck out three as he evened his season mark at 1-1. Dylan Brammer and Reece Karalus closed out the win for the Jackals with one perfect inning each - Karalus notching his third save of the year.
