
Jabari Issa rejoins Green and Gold

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced that import defensive lineman Jabari Issa has rejoined the team after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL.
Issa was originally signed in April of 2004 and appeared in five games for Edmonton last season recording seven defensive tackles, one forced fumble, a blocked punt and one pass knockdown. Issa also recorded 2 defensive tackles in the 2004 West Division Semi-Final. Issa had been signed by Kansas City in the off-season.
A four-year pro, Issa was selected in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals and saw action in 12 games that season recording 17 tackles and one sack. In 2001, he appeared in 13 games with the Cardinals (five as a starter) and finished the year with 22 tackles.
