Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals can't force fans to come to their game at Rosenblatt Stadium on Friday, August 1st. However, if you do attend the Royals' 7:05 p.m. game vs. the Salt Lake Bees, may the force be with you! That's right: it's Star Wars Night, presented by Krypton Comics.

More than 25 Star Wars characters - members of the 501st Legion - will be on hand to meet and greet fans. With the first full-length Star Wars animated film "The Clone Wars" set to open in movie theatres on August 15th, the Royals will be giving away mini-movie promo posters, as well as pre-screening passes to see the movie before it opens.

Fans will have the opportunity to play a game called "Where's Yoda" to win Star Wars prizes. In addition, the Werner Enterprises fireworks show following the game will feature Star Wars-themed music.

"With the new Star Wars movie coming out on August 15th, we thought it would be fitting to hold a night at the ballpark," said Martie Cordaro - a self-confessed Star Wars fanatic who has a life-size statue of Yoda in his office - and who's also Royals General Manager. "I'm really excited to see the characters from the 501st Legion and we'll have many great giveaways for fans. We hope all Star Wars fans will out to Rosenblatt to celebrate ‘The Force'." (Can you tell that Martie is "geeked" for this event)?

The night is also presented by 99.9 KGOR, KETV and The City Weekly.

For tickets, call the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100, or order and print tickets online at www.oroyals.com and at www.Etix.com. For details on the group ticket rate, call (402) 738-5105.
