Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Albuquerque Isotopes will be holding a "Batting for Boston" drive-thru fundraiser at Isotopes Park this Saturday, April 20, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM with proceeds going towards victims of the terrorist bombings at the Boston Marathon.

A special drive-thru will be set up in Parking Lot C (along University Blvd.- west side of stadium) at Isotopes Park with volunteers collecting cash or check donations. Each person who donates will receive a voucher good for one free ticket to a 2013 Monday thru Thursday Isotopes game, excluding July 4.

The Isotopes' loveable mascot Orbit and various volunteers will be on hand throughout the afternoon collecting donations. Money raised will go directly to The One Fund Boston, Inc. to help those families most affected by the tragic events that took place during the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15. Anyone wishing to donate by check should make them payable to "The One Fund Boston, Inc."

The fund-raising event will precede the Isotopes' home game that night at 7:05 pm vs. the Oklahoma City RedHawks. The Isotopes Park Box Office will open at a special time of 9:00 am on Saturday to accommodate fans wanting to purchase tickets for that night's game. A post-game fireworks show will follow the game. For more information, please call (505) 924-2255.
