Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

NEED TO KNOW: The Albuquerque Isotopes (60-79) were shut out by the Fresno Grizzlies (81-56) Wednesday night at Chukchansi Park in Fresno, CA. Angelys Nina went 1-for-4 and now has hits in 18 of his last 19 games.

THE TURNING POINT: It wasn't until the third inning that either team could break through on the scoreboard. Back-to-back doubles began the frame for Fresno, scoring their first run. After a sacrifice bunt moved a runner to third, the Grizzlies added their second run of the evening on a groundout. Their third and final run came on an RBI single in the fourth.

SLAMMIN' NINA: Infielder Angelys Nina picked up a single Wednesday night and now has hits in 18 of his last 19 games. He finished the game 1-for-4. During that span, Nina is 24-for-77 with seven runs scored, four doubles, a triple, a homer and 12 RBI.

ON DECK: The Isotopes and Grizzlies will play the finale of their four-game series Thursday night at 8:05 p.m. Left-handed pitcher Rudy Owens (1-5, 5.13 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for Albuquerque, while Fresno is slated to go with right-hander Dan Straily (10-8, 4.67 ERA) on the hill.

IN THE HOLE: After this four-game set with Fresno, the Isotopes will wrap up the 2015 season with a four- game series at the Sacramento River Cats.
