Islanders Assign Reese, Frischmon to Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Oct. 5, 2011) - The New York Islanders announced today that they have assigned defenseman Dylan Reese and forward Trevor Frischmon to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Reese, 27, is set to begin his second full season with the Islanders organization. The 6'1", 205-pound defenseman split time between the Islanders and Sound Tigers last season, combining for four goals and 24 assists in 64 games. The Pittsburgh native recorded two goals in three preseason games with the Islanders.

Frischmon, 30, enters his first season as a member of the Islanders organization after five seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Ham Lake, MN native scored one goal in four preseason games with the Isles.

The Sound Tigers roster currently sits at 22 players and will be announced on Friday.
