Oreskovich and Parent Sent to Chicago

The Vancouver Canucks have assigned right wing VICTOR ORESKOVICH (oh-rehs-KOH-vihch), and defenseman RYAN PARENT to the Chicago Wolves.

ORESKOVICH collected 3 assists and 8 penalty minutes in 16 National Hockey League games with Vancouver last year. He skated in 19 Stanley Cup playoff matchups with the Canucks, collecting 12 penalty minutes. The 25-year-old forward also accrued 12 points (4G, 8A) and 38 penalty minutes in 40 American Hockey League tilts with the Manitoba Moose last season.

PARENT posted 2 points (G, A) and 56 penalty minutes in 39 games with Manitoba last year. He also skated in four NHL contests with Vancouver during the 2010-11 season.

The Wolves open their 18th season at 7 p.m. on Saturday when they battle the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center. The club holds its home opener, presented by LifeSource, at 7 p.m., Sat., Oct. 15, against the Milwaukee Admirals at Allstate Arena.
