
Rivermen to Battle for Illinois Lottery Cup

The Peoria Rivermen have teamed up with the Rockford IceHogs and the Chicago Wolves to play for the inaugural Illinois Lottery Cup during the 2011-12 season. The winner will be determined by best overall winning percentage in head-to-head series between the three Illinois-based teams.
The Rivermen will face the IceHogs 12 times this season while they will face the Wolves in 10 games. The Wolves and IceHogs will play each other 12 times.
"We are very excited to take our great rivalry with the other Illinois teams to a new level with the Illinois Lottery Cup," said Rivermen C.O.O Jason Penning. "Plus Illinois Lottery's involvement is going to add some fun and exciting promotions for our fans to enjoy and maybe even win a little money."
During select Illinois Lottery Cup game at Carver Arena, fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with the Cup and during every game some lucky fans will win $1 instant game tickets from the Illinois Lottery.
The Rivermen have also announced a limited-time Illinois Lottery Cup ticket plan that features a lower-bowl ticket to three Illinois Lottery Cup games and five $1 instant game tickets for just $60. These plans are on sale now and only 100 of these great plans will be sold.
Carver Arena will play host to 11 of the Illinois Lottery Cup games with the first one being held on Sunday, Oct. 9 against Rockford.
