Bridgeport Islanders News Release

New York Islanders legend Bryan Trottier, who won four Stanley Cups with the Isles in the early 1980s, will drop the ceremonial first puck in the Bridgeport Sound Tigers' home opener, Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

After Trottier is honored, the Sound Tigers will tangle with the rival Hartford Wolf Pack in the second of 10 regular-season meetings. The Sound Tigers, led by rookie Blake Comeau's single-game, team record-setting five points, came from behind to beat Hartford 6-3 on the road in the first meeting.

"Friday night is going to be a great night for hockey fans of all ages. Our fans will catch a glimpse of the future of the Islanders, see the return of an Islander legend, and witness an exciting game," Sound Tigers President Howard Saffan said.
