
Alex Brooks recalled by New Jersey

East Rutherford, NJ "" Lowell Devils D Alex Brooks, who also serves as the team captain, was recalled to New Jersey on Monday and made his National Hockey League debut last night against the New York Rangers.
Brooks, 30, assisted on Brian Gionta's second period tally, which tied the game at 1-1 at the time. The Devils were eventually defeated by the Rangers, 4-2.
The Madison, WI, native spent the last four seasons in the American Hockey League with Albany, where he recorded 3g-23a-26pts and 320 penalty minutes in 264 games. After finishing a four-year college career at the University of Wisconsin, Brooks spent one season with Jokerit Helsinki in the top league in Finland.
The Lowell Devils are on the road for the next three games and will return to home ice on Saturday, October 28th against the Springfield Falcons. Game time is 2:05 p.m. for this special Devils matinee game. Tickets start at just $10. Call (978) 458-PUCK for more information.
