Crunch to Hold Open Auditions for Crunch Ice Girls

Syracuse, NY (October 17, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will hold open auditions for the inaugural Crunch Ice Girls on Thursday, October 19 at 6 p.m. in the Bevard Studio room at the Mulroy Civic Center Theaters at Oncenter.

Applicants must bring their own music and a one minute routine that will demonstrate their dancing and gymnastic abilities. (Ice skating, formal dance and gymnastics are not mandatory but extremely beneficial.)

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to audition. Interested applicants must wear a two-piece dance outfit in good taste and sneakers or dance shoes. No jewelry except engagement/wedding rings are to be worn. Make-up and hair must be performance ready.

There is no fee for the audition. Legal photo identification must be presented in order to participate. (Compensation and time requirements will be discussed at the audition.)

The Crunch Ice Girls are being formed to enhance the experience of a Crunch home game by assisting with one and off-ice promotions and interaction with the fans.

The Crunch travel to Omaha and Iowa for games on Friday, October 20 (8 p.m. start time) and Saturday October 21 (8:05 p.m. start time). Crunch action can be heard on SportsRadio 620 WHEN or through the B2 Networks on www.syracusecrunch.com. Syracuse returns home to host Rochester on Friday, October 27.
