After a rain out last night, the IronPigs (30-24) start an eight-game homestand with a doubleheader -- Games One and Two of a four-game series -- against the first-place Pawtucket Red Sox (34-21) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 14-4 win Thursday, the Pigs have won back-to-back games following their season-high, six-game losing streak and finished 2-6 on the eight-game South Division road trip. Prior to the official start of the trip, the Pigs had gone 10-3 in their prior 13 contests to reach a high-water mark of 10-games above .500 on May 23... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- lost 2-0 to Norfolk on Thursday to split the four-game, home series. Still, the Paw Sox finished 5-3 on the homestand and have gone 18-9 in their last 27 affairs since May 4.

In Game One, RHP Scott Elarton (5-2, 3.44) will start for LHV against RHP Brandon Duckworth (5-1, 4.22).

In Game Two, RHP Dave Bush (4-3, 2.61) will start for LHV against RHP Doug Mathis (3-3, 4.86).

DOUBLE-TRIPPERS?:

This will be the Pigs' third DH of the season after splitting 4/7 @ PAW (a scheduled twinbill) and 5/14 @ LOU... Last season, the Pigs managed just a 5-9 record in DH games -- getting swept in two... The Pigs have gone just 15-27 all-time in DH games with just three sweeps in 21 tries (6/11/08 vs. BUF; 7/18/09 vs. ROC; 9/4/09 vs. BUF) -- none in their last 12 DH.
