Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (4-1) play the finale of a four-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (2-3) at McCoy Stadium. With a 1-0 win over the Paw Sox last night, the Pigs have won two straight and remain off to their best start in team history... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- have now dropped two straight for the first time on this season-opening, six-game homestand. Pawtucket won the North Division last season with an 81-61 record -- edging Lehigh Valley by 2.0 games for first -- only to be swept by the Pigs, 3-0, in the first round of the IL playoffs.
RHP Dave Bush (1-2, 3.91 w/ LHV) will start for LHV against RHP Ross Ohlendorf (1-3, 8.15 w/ PIT).
First-Pitch today is at 12:05 p.m.
The Pigs return home to start a five-game homestand with Game One of a three-game series against Syracuse on Wednesday.
FAST TIMES AT LE-HIGH:
The 4-1 start is the Pigs best start in franchise history. LHV has had starts of 2-3 (2011), 1-4 (2010), 1-4 (2009) & 0-5 (2008).
