Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (44-63) play Game One of a four-game series against the third-place Buffalo Bisons (53-53) -- the Mets' top affiliate. With a 9-2 loss last night, the Pigs were swept by Durham and finished just 2-6 on their eight-game, South Division homestand. The Pigs have now dropped five straight games after winning six of seven... Buffalo won last night, 3-1, to split a four-game series in Columbus. Previously, the Bisons had lost six consecutive games -- their second longest skid of 2010... Once a season-high 29-19 on May 28, the Bisons are 24-34 since.
LHP Joe Savery (1-8, 5.03) will start for LHV against LHP Pat Misch (9-4, 3.44).
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo.
Not So 'Blues' Travelers: LHV enters tonight with a (tied for) season-high, 4-game road win streak (6/2-6/13).
