Paco Figueroa plated Craig Tatum with a two-out double in the 11th inning, giving Norfolk a 3-2 win over the Indianapolis Indians Saturday night at Harbor Park.

With two outs and nobody on in the decisive frame, Tatum drew a four-pitch walk from former Oriole Brian Bass (2-3) to start the rally. Figueroa then worked the count full before sending a deep fly ball to left-center field that glanced off the glove of center fielder Alex Presley, allowing Tatum to score standing up.

The win was Norfolk's seventh in its last 10 home games.

Norfolk had trailed the contest 2-1 entering the ninth, but took advantage of some defensive miscues to tie the game. With two outs and nobody on, Rhyne Hughes reached on an infield single before stealing second base. Brandon Snyder then struck out on a pitch in the dirt, but reached safely when the ball skipped past catcher Luke Carlin for a wild pitch, allowing Hughes to move to third. Tatum then followed with a slow grounder that first baseman Jonathan Van Every could not handle, allowing Hughes to score from third and knot the score at 2-2.

Tides starter Tim Bascom turned in a strong outing, as he yielded two runs in 6.2 innings of work. Bascom, who surrendered a two-run homer to Brandon Moss in the first inning - allowed just three hits and three walks while striking out three.

Indy starter Brian Burres also turned in a solid effort, as the former Tide allowed one run on three hits and four walks in seven innings. The only run Norfolk could muster against Burres came in the seventh, when Tatum plated Nolan Reimold with a two-out single.

Armando Gabino earned the win with two shutout innings of relief, lowering his ERA to 2.18 and improving his record to 7-0.

Robert Andino singled twice in the contest to extend his hitting streak to 12 games, a Norfolk season-high.

The two clubs will continue their four-game set Sunday night, with first pitch from Harbor Park slated for 6:15. Zach Britton (1-1, 2.28) will take the hill for Norfolk against right-hander Charlie Morton (3-4, 4.82).
