RAMAPO, New York - The Rockland Boulders are set to celebrate Irish Heritage Night at Provident Bank Park on Wednesday, August 17, with special guests U2Nation. The U2 tribute band will rock the Coors Light Bridge Bar immediately following the Pittsfield Colonials-Rockland Boulders contest that commences at 7PM.
By sliding to www.rocklandboulders.com and using the promo code, "Irish", fans of both the Boulders and U2Nation can purchase tickets for both events for as little as $5. In addition, fans mentioning the promo code at the Boulders Box Office will also receive $3 off per ticket.
"U2 rocked the New Meadowlands on July 20th", said Shawn Reilly, Executive Vice President of the Rockland Boulders. "Now, U2Naiton is going to rock Provident Bank Park on August 17!"
Another highlight of the evening will be the exclusive Irish merchandise scheduled to be available at the Boulders retail store. Two kelly green t-shirts featuring the Boulders "B" with a shamrock instead of a baseball and the phrases "The Luck of the Boulders" and "Kiss Me I'm A Boulder" will be available while supplies last. In addition, an exclusive green baseball cap will also be offered.
"If you forget to wear green, you can always buy green," said Reilly. "Don't wait as these hats and t-shirts will be in high demand. Plus fans dressed to promote their Irish heritage will be eligible for instant prizes, including seat upgrades!"
Come enjoy traditional Irish festivities and food, as concessions stands will be serving green beer and corned beef and cabbage specials.
"There is no better reason to drink green beer," Reilly expressed. "When you stop and realize it is only 212 days until St. Patrick's Day 2012."
