Colabello, Flores Win Player Of The Week Honors

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has named Worcester Tornadoes INF Chris Colabello and Brockton Rox RHP Freddy Flores as the Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.

In six games, Colabello hit .500 with two home runs and 11 runs batted in. He collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats, plated 10 runs and walked three times. Colabello also had an on-base percentage of .552 and a slugging percentage of .923. The Milford, MA resident is currently batting .380 with 18 home runs and 61 RBIs. He is first in the league in hitting and second in home runs and RBIs. This is the second Player of the Week award for Colabello (week ending July 3) this season.

Flores tossed a complete game shutout in the 2-0 win over Rockland Friday. He gave up only two walks and three hits while striking out two batters. On the season, Flores is 6-5 with a 3.90 ERA in 87 2/3 innings pitched.
