
Iowa's Schroeder Named CCM/AHL Player of the Week

DES MOINES, IA - The American Hockey League announced on Monday that Iowa Wild forward Jordan Schroeder (Schray-durr) has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 30, 2016.
Schroeder scored goals in each of his games last week, finishing the week with four goals and three assists for seven points in three contests.
After being held scoreless in his first five games of the season, Schroeder broke out with a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to Cleveland. He followed that up with another three-point night on Fridayvs. Milwaukee, scoring twice (including the game-winning goal) and adding an assist in a 6-1 victory. Then on Saturday, Schroeder scored again to help the Wild to a 3-2 win at Milwaukee.
A first-round pick (22nd overall) by Vancouver in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Schroeder now leads Iowa with four goals and seven points in eight games this season. The seventh-year pro from Prior Lake, Minn., has skated in 275 career AHL games with Iowa, Utica, Chicago and Manitoba, totaling 75 goals and 109 assists for 184 points. Schroeder has also tallied 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 107 NHL games with Vancouver and Minnesota.
In recognition of his achievement, Schroeder will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wild home game.
After road games in Milwaukee and Grand Rapids, Iowa returns home on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 5 PM with the Rockford IceHogs. It's ZERO Prostate Awareness Night, which marks the beginning of "Movember" - a month long initiative where men grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research. Sunday's game is also Pucks & Paws Night, presented by Anderson Animal Hospital. Participating sponsors include Downtown Doggy Daycare and Copper Cup. For the first 400 fans (and their dog), will be given a Iowa Wild themed Pet Bowl presented by Anderson Animal Hospital and Lazer 103.3. There will also be a Pet Food Drive that benefits the Animal Rescue League. Sunday night is also Subway Combo Pack night. There will be a Postgame Skate after the game for all fans.
The Wild hosts Wild About Education on Thursday, Nov. 10 with a 10:30 a.m. faceoff against Charlotte, presented by Amerigroup Iowa Inc. and the Science Center. Thursday's game is also Corporate Field Trip day. Fans may bring a Subway receipt to purchase a ticket for $5.00. Thursday's game is also a Mug Club day.

The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
