Friday, Oct. 28 STJ 5 vs RCH 3 RECAP The St. John's IceCaps fought off two leads by the Rochester Americans to claim a 5-3 victory in the club's home opener.

Philip Samuelsson gave St. John's the lead with his first of the season and Stefan Matteau sent his first of the year into an empty net to seal the victory. Saturday, Oct. 29 RCH 5 vs STJ 2 RECAP The IceCaps fell 5-2 to the Americans. Daniel Audette netted his first pro goal in the first period assisted by Bobby Farnham and Joel Hanley. Goaltender Yann Danis picked up an assist on a Nikita Scherbak goal and made 26 saves in a losing effort. 3 THINGS TO KNOW

Perfect Charlie: IceCaps goaltender Charlie Lindgren made 32 saves Friday night in the IceCaps victory. In three games this season Lindgren is 3-0-0 with the club.

Streak Snapped: Sven Andrighetto saw his four game point streak end Saturday in the IceCaps loss to the Americans. Andrighetto had four goals and three assists during the four game run.

Welcome Back: Long time St. John's IceCap Jason King who held three positions with the team - as a player, an assistant coach and a management role - returns Tuesday with the Utica Comets as an assistant coach.
