Iowa Wild News Release

DES MOINES, IA -Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced on Monday that forward Chase Lang has been activated from injured reserve and assigned by the Minnesota Wild, Iowa's NHL affiliate.

Lang, 20 (9/13/96), enters his first pro season after starting the season on injured reserve. Last April, Lang signed an ATO (amateur tryout agreement) with Iowa, playing in the final 11 games of the 2015-16 season. In his first 11 AHL games, Lang scored twice and added an assist for three points.

A sixth-round pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2014 NHL Draft, finished his four-year career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in March of 2016. Lang played the majority of his career with the Calgary Hitmen before a trade sent him to the Vancouver Giants on Oct. 27, 2015. Lang appeared in 69 games in the 2015-16 season, playing for both the Hitmen and Giants. He scored 27 goals and added 36 assists for 63 points, setting career highs in all three categories and leading Vancouver in scoring. The British Columbia native scored 25 goals and added 31 assists for 56 points in the 2014-15 season, adding four goals and three assists for seven points in 10 playoff games. He finished fourth on the team in scoring. Lang finishes his WHL career with 70 goals and 95 assists for 165 points in 265 games played.
