Iowa's Jordan Schroeder Named CCM/AHL Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Iowa Wild forward Jordan Schroeder has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 30, 2016.
Schroeder scored goals in each of his games last week, finishing the week with four goals and three assists for seven points in three contests.
After being held scoreless in his first five games of the season, Schroeder broke out with a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to Cleveland. He followed that up with another three-point night on Friday vs. Milwaukee, scoring twice (including the game-winning goal) and adding an assist in a 6-1 victory. Then on Saturday, Schroeder scored again to help the Wild to a 3-2 win at Milwaukee.
A first-round pick (22nd overall) by Vancouver in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Schroeder now leads Iowa with four goals and seven points in eight games this season. The seventh-year pro from Prior Lake, Minn., has skated in 275 career AHL games with Iowa, Utica, Chicago and Manitoba, totaling 75 goals and 109 assists for 184 points. Schroeder has also tallied 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points in 107 NHL games with Vancouver and Minnesota.
In recognition of his achievement, Schroeder will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wild home game.
