PAPILLION, NE - The Iowa Cubs (65-46) won their fifth straight game over the Omaha Storm Chasers (50-59) by a score of 7-4, Saturday at Werner Park.

Iowa didn't waste any time getting on the board, taking a two-run lead in the first. They scored on an RBI double from Miles Mastrobuoni and a sacrifice fly from Yonathan Perlaza. Omaha answered with a run of their own in the first on a solo shot from Clay Dungan.

Pete Crow-Armstrong gave Iowa their two-run lead back in the second on a solo home run, his third deep fly of the year with the I-Cubs. Alexander Canario used an RBI single in the third to grow Iowa's lead to 4-1.

The three-run cushion didn't last long, as a two-run home run from Nick Loftin followed by a solo shot from Tyler Gentry tied the game. In his first game with Iowa this year, Samuel Reyes came in and shut down Omaha's lineup.

Reyes spun three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out a batter. He was given three runs of support in the fifth, when Perlaza hit an RBI single followed by a two-run home run from Canario.

This time Iowa's bullpen held onto their three-run lead, as Keegan Thompson and Luke Little combined to throw 3.1 scoreless frames to close out the victory.
