
Bisons 'Hockey Night at the Ballpark' to Feature Danny Gare First Pitch & Marty Biron/Rhett Warrener Autograph Session

The Buffalo Bisons are excited to announce that Buffalo Sabres Hall of Famer and legendary right winger Danny Gare will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the 3rd Annual Hockey Night at the Ballpark, in collaboration with the Sabres and presented by ADRPO Sports, on Saturday, August 19 against the Rochester Red Wings at Sahlen Field (6:05 p.m.).
Hockey Night at the ballpark will also feature specially-made Hockey Night Jerseys that the Bisons team will wear during the game and then sign for a Jersey Raffle to benefit the Buffalo Bisons Charitable Foundation. Sahlen Field Gates will open at the special time of 4:30 p.m. for a pregame Sabres Alumni Autograph Session with Marty Biron & Rhett Warrener from 4:40 p.m. -5:40 p.m. (one item per signed per player, no photos please). The Bisons will have Sabres Giveaways Every Inning, including autographed baseballs from Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Rasmus Dahlin and Sabres Opening Night Tickets, as well as an appearance by Sabretooth.
Fans can purchase tickets for Hockey Night at the Ballpark at Bisons.com or at the Sahlen Field Box Office. All single-game tickets are 15% off when purchased in advance of game day.
Gare played eight of his 13 NHL seasons with the Buffalo Sabres and scored a career-high 56 goals during the 1979-1980 season. The former captain also netted 50 goals during the 1975-1976 season and scored 30 or more five times. All told, Gare scored 267 of his 354 career NHL goals in the blue and gold. In 1994, Gare was formally inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame and on November 22, 1995, his #18 was forever retired by the team.
