Iowa Energy Return Home Sunday

Des Moines, IA January 10, 2014 - The Iowa Energy will return home on Sunday, January 12th at 4 PM for the team's first home game in over two weeks.

The Energy will take on their Central division rival on Sunday, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The teams are the two highest scoring teams in the NBA D-League, with the Vipers averaging 124.9 points per game and the Energy averaging 116.1 points.

Iowa has been on the road since December 28th, winning three of four games so far. They will play the Mad Ants in Fort Wayne tomorrow night before coming back to Iowa.

The Energy had an impressive showing at the NBA D-League Showcase in Reno, Nevada this week, scoring 276 points over their two wins. Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Shabazz Muhammad was impressive in his D-League debut, averaging 23 points and 9 boards over the two Showcase games. Muhammad was named to the D-League's First Team All-Showcase team along with fellow Energy teammate Jarvis Varnado.

The first 500 kids 12 years old and younger through the doors on Sunday will receive a youth jersey, presented by Dahl's. All jerseys have the number 12, representing Energy star Othyus Jeffers. The doors open at 3 PM, with the game starting at 4.
