Johnson-Odom and Horner Earn Showcase Honors

NEW YORK - Springfield Armor, presented by MGM Springfield, guard Darius Johnson-Odom and forward Dennis Horner earned 2014 NBA D-League Showcase Honorable Mention honors after their performances at the league-wide event in Reno, Nevada.

Johnson-Odom combined to score 48 points over two games inside the Reno Events Center in tilts against the Reno Bighorns and Iowa Energy. After scoring seven points in the Armor's opening game against Reno, Johnson-Odom went off for 41 points in the Showcase finale against Iowa, including scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter alone. Johnson-Odom's 41 points against the Energy set an Armor single-game franchise record, hitting 13-of-25 shots from the field and 13-of-15 from the charity stripe.

Horner was the Armor's leading scorer in the opening game against Reno, logging 20 points on 9-of-18 shooting before scoring 30 in the finale against Iowa. Over the two games in the Showcase, Horner combined to shoot 20-of-37 (54.1 percent) from the field and 9-of-10 (90 percent) from the free throw line. Horner is the only Springfield player to start all 17 games this season.
