Texas Legends Acquire Marcus Hubbard in Trade with Springfield

FRISCO, TX (Jan. 10, 2014)--The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), today announced that they have acquired center Marcus Hubbard from the Springfield Armor in exchange for Canton's fourth round pick in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft, previously acquired by Texas.

Hubbard (6'9", 229, Angelo State) went undrafted out of Angelo State in 2008 but joined the Atlanta Hawks that year for NBA Training Camp. He played three seasons in the D-League before going to Venezuela to play for the 2011-12 season and returning to the Armor in 2013. In 131 games in the NBA Development League, Hubbard has averaged 8.8 points and 5.3 rebounds. He participated in the 2012-13 NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Clippers. This season with the Springfield Armor, Hubbard has played 11 games averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.
