Springfield Trades Marcus Hubbard to Texas

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Armor, presented by MGM Springfield, announced Friday that forward Marcus Hubbard has been traded to the Texas Legends in exchange for the Canton Charges' fourth round pick (previously acquired by Texas) in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft.

Hubbard (6-9, 229) averaged 9.6 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Armor over 11 games (one start). Originally selected in the third round of the 2013 NBA D-League Draft (37th overall) by the Armor, Hubbard averaged 21.0 minutes on the floor and racked up a 45.3 shooting percentage over his time in Springfield. A former Angelo State standout, he will join his eighth NBA D-League team in Texas after stints with Rio Grande Valley, Austin, Dakota, Albuquerque, Reno and New Mexico prior to Springfield. Hubbard scored a season-high 22 points at Maine on December 13 in his only double-double of the season (10 rebounds). He was activated by the Armor on December 6.

In exchange for Hubbard, the Armor acquired Canton's fourth round pick in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft (previously acquired by Texas).
