D-Fenders Corral Stampede Behind Harris' Franchise-Record 49 Points

BOISE, ID - The Los Angeles D-Fenders defeated the Idaho Stampede 133-124 at the CenturyLink Arena tonight.

Manny Harris got the D-Fenders (9-7) out to a quick start in the first quarter, scoring 21 of his 49 points in the frame. However, Los Angeles allowed 22 points in the paint to the Stampede (11-8) and gave up a first period season-high 40 points. Trailing by four entering the second, the D-Fenders got solid production from their bench and totaled a second quarter season-high 36 points to turn the deficit into a two-point advantage at the half. Overall, Los Angeles shot 50.9% from the field, but permitted Idaho to shoot 60.4% and tally 42 points in the paint in the first half.

The third quarter went back-and-forth featuring five lead changes and three ties while highlighting another high scoring affair. Despite the close first three quarters, Los Angeles was able to put it all together in the fourth quarter, pulling away from Idaho thanks to a stellar 61.9 field goal percentage. This victory gives the D-Fenders their sixth win in a row, and third straight triumph over Idaho this season.

Manny Harris notched a franchise-record 49 points on 18 of 26 (69.2%) from the field to lead the D-Fenders. Harris' 49 points also matches a NBA D-League season-high for single game points. Six other D-Fenders finished in double-digits, including James Southerland (16 points, nine rebounds), Josh Magette (13 points), C.J. Williams (13 points), Terrence Williams (11 points, seven assists), Josiah Turner (10 points, six assists) and Andre Ingram (10 points).

The NBA D-League's leading scorer, Pierre Jackson, led Idaho with 28 points and eight assists. Richard Howell (24 points, 12 rebounds), Kevin Murphy (21 points), Dee Bost (20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists), Reggie Hearn (13 points, nine rebounds) and E.J. Singler (12 points) all finished in double-digits as well. Dallas Lauderdale pitched in 14 rebounds as well for the Stampede.

In total, Los Angeles scored a season-high 133 points and converted a season-high 51 field goals on the night. Additionally, the D-Fenders held the advantage in field goal percentage (52.6 - 51.1), free-throw percentage (40.9 - 40.7) and three-point field goal percentage (78.6 - 70.8) over the Stampede.

Los Angeles will look for the weekend sweep tomorrow in Boise where they take on the Idaho Stampede once again at 6:00pm at the CenturyLink Arena.
