Iowa Energy Fall to Mad Ants on the Road

Fort Wayne, IN - The Iowa Energy fell to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 133-113 on Saturday Night in Fort Wayne.

The Energy started the game slowly, and never recovered. Fort Wayne led 29-23 after the first quarter.

The Mad Ants outscored the Energy 38-28 in the second quarter, and took a 67-51 lead into the half.

The third quarter, Iowa made a run. A 24-8 run tied the game at 75 with 5:07 to play in the quarter after Iowa's Curtis Stinson hit a jump shot. The Mad Ants then went on a 18-10 run to give them the 93-85 lead heading into the final quarter.

Outscoring the Energy 40-28 in the fourth, Fort Wayne came away with the 133-113 victory to improve to 23-14 on the season. Iowa falls to 21-13 on the year.

The Mad Ants were led by Memphis Grizzlies assignee Jamaal Franklin, who finished the game with a game high 31 points and also had 11 assists. Ron Howard finished the night with 26 points. Tony Mitchell had a double-double with 21 points and 10 boards.

Iowa was led by Othyus Jeffers, who ended the night with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Moses Ehambe had 18 points. Guard Curtis Stinson finished the game with 17 points.
