Mad Ants Acquire Ohlbrecht in Trade with Vipers

FORT WAYNE, IN (March 1, 2014) -The Fort Wayne Mad Ants presented by the Lutheran Health Network have acquired center Tim Ohlbrecht in a trade with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. RGV traded Ohlbrecht to the Mad Ants in exchange for Fort Wayne's original first round draft pick in the 2014 D-League Draft.
Ohlbrecht, a 6'11" center from Germany, has played for the Vipers for the past two seasons. During the 2012-13 season he appeared in 32 games and averaged 13.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He was named to the NBA D-League All-Star team in 2013 and earned a Gatorade Call-Up to the Houston Rockets during the 2012-13 season. During the 2013-14 season Ohlbrecht has appeared in 32 games, averaging 12.44 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for the Vipers.
Ohlbrecht will make his debut for the Mad Ants tonight at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum when Fort Wayne takes on the Iowa Energy at 7:30pm. For tickets, call the Mad Ants office at 260-469-HOOP!
