BayHawks Fall to Skyforce, 104-101

Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie BayHawks welcomed the Sioux Falls Skyforce to the Erie Insurance Arena on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd of 5,833. After Sioux Falls controlled most of the game, the BayHawks took over the fourth quarter before falling short, 104-101.

Sioux Falls (22-15) jumped out to an early advantage, leading by as many as nine points in the first before holding a 31-25 advantage at the end of the frame. The Skyforce continued to control the pace of the game in the second stanza, holding a 55-43 lead at the break.

Henry Walker led all scorers in the first half with 19 points for the Skyforce while Erie (11-26) was paced by 13 points from Scott Suggs.

The Skyforce stretched their lead to a game-high 19 points in the third quarter. Erie managed to draw within 13 points to end the frame. The BayHawks continued their strong effort in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Skyforce 35-25 in the period. After struggling from the free throw line for most of the game, Sioux Falls converted on all their attempts down the stretch. Lewis Jackson's fade away three-point attempt from the corner rattled out at the buzzer and Erie fell by a final score of 104-101.

Suggs finished with a team-high 26 points for the BayHawks and a personal best 10 rebounds. Micah Downs pitched in with 24 points, Darren White had 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench and Lewis Jackson scored 13 points, tallied a franchise record 17 assists and seven rebounds for Erie. Walker tallied a game high 31 points for Sioux Falls. He was aided by Anthony Mason's 27 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Hamilton (14 points) and Tre Kelley (13 points and 10 assists) also had solid nights for the Skyforce.

The BayHawks travel to Springfield for a date with the Armor on Monday night. Sioux Falls returns home to host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Thursday.
