Des Moines, IA January 14, 2014 - The Iowa Energy and Goodwill of Central Iowa are teaming up for Goodwill Night on Saturday, January 18th as part of the Wells Fargo Big Assist program.

The Wells Fargo Big Assist program is designed to help local non-profits maximize charitable contributions while providing an incredibly unique marketing opportunity.

The Energy will wear special Goodwill branded jerseys for their matchup vs the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The jerseys will be auctioned off during a silent auction that will occur during the game, along with a VIP auction item from one of the Energy's NBA affiliates.

"Wells Fargo stepped up in a big way to join us in the Big Assist program. Saturday will be the first of several games under the Big Assist umbrella which will help local non-profits benefit in terms of fundraising and from an exposure standpoint," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris. "The blue "Goodwill" uniforms will be a hit Saturday night!"

Energy fans are encouraged to bring items to donate to the game and can drop off their items to the Goodwill truck in the North parking lot of Wells Fargo Arena as they park. Fans who donate will receive a 2-for-1 ticket voucher for the Friday, February 28th game vs the Tulsa 66ers.

Saturday's game will also feature $2 beer and the Alexandria Aces will perform at halftime. The first 1,000 fans through the doors will also receive an Iowa Energy T-Shirt. The doors open at 6 PM and the game starts at 7.

The Energy are the second-highest scoring team in the NBA D-League, averaging 117.4 points per game. They also have the second best record in the league at 13-6. The team will play tonight in Delaware before returning home on Saturday.
