From Kannapolis to MLB: Engel joins White Sox
The Chicago White Sox recalled former Kannapolis Intimidators centerfielder Adam Engel from Class AAA Charlotte over the weekend. Engel became the 95th player to go from Kannapolis to the Major Leagues since 1995 and the 71st since the Intimidators became a White Sox affiliate in 2001, making his MLB debut on May 27 against Detroit.
Home Stand opens June 1 with Thirsty Thursday
Bottoms up! The Kannapolis Intimidators are hosting another Thirsty Thursday with discounted drinks all game long.
Thirsty Thursday deals include 16 oz. drafts for only $1.50 and 24 oz. drafts for only $2.50. Plus craft beers as the Cabarrus Brewing Craft Beer Corner are only $4.00 for a 16 oz. craft beer & $6.00 for a 24 oz. craft beer. Bottled sodas & water are also only $2 all game long.
Salute to A.L. Brown Wonders Baseball & Softball
The Kannapolis Intimidators are teaming up with A.L. Brown High School to salute to the school's softball and baseball programs on Friday, June 2, as both Wonders teams will be recognized during the game at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System. Gates open at 6 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
Friday: First Craft Beer Sampling Game of 2017
Back by popular demand! The Intimidators are teaming up with local and regional craft beer vendors to bring fans our second annual Craft Beer Sampling Series at all Friday home games in June and July in 2017. Your ticket includes a reserved seat, samples of craft beer, and an Intimidators souvenir mug all for only $20 (tickets & craft beer with no mug, only $15).
Saturday, June 3: Superhero Night with Fireworks
This Saturday is the Intimidators are hosting Superhero Night at the ballpark with special appearances by some of your favorite superheroes plus post-game fireworks set to iconic superhero themes. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
Bring your dogs to Bark in the Park on Sunday
The Intimidators are again hosting Bark in the Park game on Sunday, June 4. Gates open at 4 p.m. with first pitch at 5:05 p.m. Enter your dog to win prizes for Best Trick, Best Dressed, Most Team Spirit, and more. Dogs get in free; people tickets start at $6 »
Cover Your Bases: Sun Screen Giveaway this Sunday
The Intimidators will take part in Minor League Baseball's "Cover Your Bases" initiative to promote sun safety awareness this Sunday, June 4, when the Intimidators take on the Greensboro Grasshoppers at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System at 5:05 p.m. Gates open at 4:00 p.m., and the first 1,000 fans will receive a sample of Blue Lizard sunscreen.
