CHARLESTON, S.C. - The New York Yankees have announced that infielder/outfielder Dalton Blaser has joined the RiverDogs outfield corps as the former Cal State Fullerton product was called up to Class A Charleston on Tuesday.

Blaser joins the RiverDogs after a solid first season in Short Season with Staten Island. He played in 55 games and hit .223 with seven doubles, two home runs and 21 RBI. In addition to outfield, Blaser made the majority of his Staten Island starts at first base (23).

Born in Roseville, Calif, Blaser spent time with the Titans following a successful stint at Roseville High School. Blaser, 23, was drafted by the Yankees in the 8th round of the 2016 draft and spent his first season with Staten Island.
