Infielder Joe Inglett Optioned to Bisons Roster
April 18, 2007 - International League (IL1)
Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Cleveland Indians today optioned infielder Joe Inglett to the Buffalo Bisons. He will fill the roster spot opened as infielder Trent Durrington was placed on the disabled list with a lower back strain.
Inglett, 28, appeared in only four spring games this year before being sidelined with soreness in both legs after playing his last game on March 5. He has played in extended spring training games the last several days prior to joining the Bisons.
Inglett has spent parts of the last two seasons with the Bisons and has a career .320 (155-484) batting average in 135 games with the Herd. He made his Major League debut with the Tribe in 2006, hitting .284 (57-201) with two home runs and 21RBI in 64 games in Cleveland.
Durrington was hitting .300 (3-10) with two RBI in four games with the Bisons in 2007.
