Kingston Frontenacs News Release
The province of Ontario recently announced plans to ease COVID-19 capacity restrictions at sports and entertainment venues. Starting on January 31st, 2022, arenas will be allowed to increase their capacity to 500 spectators. The new capacity limit will be in effect until February 21, 2022.
If things progress accordingly, capacity limits will be increased to 50 percent after February 21, 2022. Normal capacity limits could be introduced by the Ontario government by March 14, 2022.
The Kingston Frontenacs will begin allowing 500 spectators back into the Leon's Centre for home games commencing through January 31st, 2022 to February 21st, 2022. The following four home games will be affected by the new capacity limits during this timeframe:
Wednesday February 9th, 2022 - Frontenacs vs. Petes
Saturday February 12th, 2022 - Frontenacs vs. Steelheads
Sunday February 13th, 2022 - Frontenacs vs. Hamilton
Friday February 18th, 2022 - Frontenacs vs. Colts
Plan to Safely Re-Open Ontario
Effective January 31th, 2022 - 500 fans allowed
Effective February 21th, 2022 - 50% capacity limit
Effective March 14th, 2022 - 100% capacity limit
What you need to know:
Tickets for games between January 31st, 2022 and February 20, 2022 will be made available to season ticket holders only. Season ticket holders will be allowed to attend one game during the 500 spectator restriction. The Kingston Frontenacs will be contacting Suite Holders, Club Seat, Gold and Silver section season ticket holders directly with instructions on which game their ticket will be valid for.
Once the Ontario government announces an increase in capacity to 50 percent, all season tickets will be valid for the remaining home games at Leon's Centre. The Kingston Frontenacs will also begin permitting flex pack, group and single game tickets again.
Entry to Games:
The Leon's Centre will only have one entrance available for games between January 31st, 2022 through February 21st, 2022. Spectators can enter and exit the venue through Gate 4, which is located on The Tragically Hip Way.
The Kingston Frontenacs will announce more details about the other stages as they approach and the team will confirm the details and start dates.
