October 23, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Louisiana IceGators News Release
Lafayette, LA â A trio of Louisiana IceGators spent Wednesday afternoon telling a group of elementary school students the importance of "Just Saying No" to alcohol and drugs.
John DePourcq, Frederic Cloutier and Chris Taliercio spoke to a group of more than 200 fourth and fifth graders at Ernest Gallet Elementary School in Youngsville. How to respond to peer pressure and the importance of staying in school and setting goals were the main topics covered. The players also signed an IceGators print to be given to the winner of the school's "Just Say No" poster contest.
Ernest Gallet is one of many schools having a "Red Ribbon Week" as part of the "Just Say No" program.
