IceGators open at Mississippi tomorrow

Lafayette, LA – The ECHL's Louisiana IceGators will open their ninth season tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. in Biloxi against the Mississippi Sea Wolves. The broadcast can be heard on KRKA 107.9 FM and also through www.icegators.com beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Saturday, the IceGators will retire Chris Valicevic's No. 24 jersey during their 7:05 p.m. home opener against the Sea Wolves. The first 5,000 fans will receive IceGators Thundersticks, courtesy of KADN Fox-15. Valicevic will drop the puck and will also sign autographs during the second intermission. The fun starts outside at 5:30 p.m. with local band Horizon, fun jumps and other activities. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Saturday's game can be heard on Newsradio 105.1 KPEL-FM, the IceGators' Official Flagship Station, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Individual tickets for all games, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level), are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are still on sale and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Season ticketholders get great benefits like the concession item of the game and merchandise discounts. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rink side, with an adult purchase.
