Bullies Prepare For Banner Night

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL will open Season Three tomorrow night vs. the Texas Wildcatters at Boardwalk Hall by honoring the 2002-03 Kelly Cup Champions with a pre-game ring ceremony and the raising of the Kelly Cup Championship banner to the rafters. Game time is scheduled for 7:05PM

Opening night ceremonies will begin at 6:55PM. Boardwalk Bullies owner George Shinn will be on hand to assist in the ring presentation while New Jersey State Senator William Gormley will drop the first puck of the 2003-04 season.

"Tomorrow will truly be a special night," said Bullies Vice President & General Manager Dan Belisle. "We're hoping that the citizens of Atlantic City and the surrounding communities join our organization as we honor last year's championship team and welcome the beginning of the new season.

The Bullies have surpassed season tickets and Flex Plans sales from a year ago, however there are still great seats available for opening night.

In other news, the Bullies have completed yesterday's trade with Pensacola that brought them defenseman Kam White. Forwards Peter Bournazakis and Brian Collins, and defenseman Pete Summerfelt have all been dealt to the Ice Pilots in exchange for White. The Bullies will open 2003-04 with 18 players on the active roster and two on the injured reserve.

The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Boardwalk Bullies open Season Three against the Texas Wildcatters tomororw night at Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM.
