Jokila Assigned to Bombers by Crunch

The Bombers have announced that left wing Janne Jokila has been assigned to the team by the Syracuse Crunch, the Bombers' ECHL affiliate.
Jokila, 21, made his professional debut with Syracuse on Saturday, October 11, and did not record a point. A native of Turko, Finland, Jokila signed an AHL league contract with Syracuse on August 18, 2003. He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Bombers' NHL affiliate, in the 7th round (#200th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
Single game tickets for all Dayton Bombers' 2003-2004 home regular season games, including the Opening Night Extravaganza on Oct. 18, are on sale now. The Bombers have a full slate of activities planned for the Opening Night Extravaganza, including:
- Bomber "Banger Sticks" to every fan in attendance, courtesy of Value City Furniture, Advance Auto Parts, Pontiac, and WTUE-FM.
- A "Tailgate Bash" that will take place prior to the game (4:30 p.m.-6:30 p..m.) on the concourse outside of Gate 3 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center, featuring a live remote courtesy of WTUE-FM, music, beverages, and other prize-winning activities and fun for all ages.
- Dayton Bombers' 2003-2004 Magnetic Schedules given away to the first 5000 fans, compliments of TravelPlex, Trane Heating & Air Conditioning, and Two Men & A Truck.
